Cherry Almond Mocha Oatmeal Muffins

February is American Heart Month, bringing attention to the importance of heart health and encouraging people to adopt lifestyle behaviors that reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. According to the CDC, millions of Americans are living with some form of heart disease, and heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Lots of factors contribute to heart health, including nutrition.

These Cherry Almond Mocha Oatmeal Muffins are packed with heart-healthy ingredients: whole-grain oats, almonds, and cocoa each support heart health in some way. Finally, minimally-processed cocoa powder has been shown to help lower cholesterol and reduce blood pressure.
