Hibiscus Limeade

Hibiscus Limeade is a refreshing, tart beverage for summertime parties or everyday sipping! The vibrant color adds fun and excitement to any glass.

Hibiscus has great nutritional benefits for heart health, including lowering blood pressure and reducing cholesterol, as well as supporting liver function. It’s loaded with antioxidants including vitamin C and anthocyanins, which are what give hibiscus tea its vibrant red color.

Look for dried hibiscus flowers in the bulk section of your local grocery store, or in an aisle with African, Latin American or Caribbean foods (regions of the world where hibiscus has been consumed for centuries!). If you can’t find loose, dried hibiscus flowers, look in the tea aisle for sachets of hibiscus tea.

This recipe combines strong-brewed hibiscus tea with store-bought limeade concentrate to make an easy batch drink that you can share with friends, or store in the fridge to enjoy all week long! I enjoy drinking this Hibiscus Limeade as-is, but it’s also fun to mix with sparkling water for mocktails. If you enjoy this, check out my Hibiscus Berry Smoothie recipe, too!
